Snowshoeing in the Alps

New for 2009!  Explore miles of snow-covered rolling Alpine scenery with the aid of snowshoes.  The latest snowshoes are light, easy-to-use modern aids to walking that simply strap onto your existing winter boots.  The flexible fitting requires nothing more than a normal walking action thus enabling you to cover many miles of snow-covered ground that would be otherwise impossible to cross without the use of skis.  Our week-long packages are based near La Grave on the edge of the Ecrins National Park in the French Alps.  Shorter breaks are also available. 

The cost of the courses includes the services of a qualified international mountain leader and hire of snowshoes, ski poles and transceivers.  Cheap flights are available from a number of UK airports to Grenoble, Lyon, Chambery or Turin and airport pick-up may be available depending upon party size.  A range of accommodation options is available from self-catering gîtes to full-board chalet.  Snowshoeing packages are available anytime between Jan-Mar 09 thus enabling you to choose when and where you travel to/from France.  Get in touch to discuss your requirements.
