Alpine Walking Holidays in Grindelwald
Sample the soft, stunning alpine scenery of Grindelwald’s alpine pastures unfolding beneath the towering snow-draped giants of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Walk below the mighty Eiger and experience the notorious north face up close and personal from the security of a well-graded mountain path. Learn about the tragic early attempts to climb the face and get close to some alpine glaciers whilst you still can!
Hillways believes in making full use of Grindelwald’s comprehensive and efficient mountain transport system. This enables us to spend as much time as possible far above the valley floor, where the stunning views can be enjoyed all day long.
Grindelwald offers a wide range of scenic walks. Some follow elevated ridges which offer amazing, ever-changing views in all directions. Others venture up into glacier-filled amphitheatres surrounded by towering snowy peaks which echo to the sound of distant avalanches. The Tour of the Jungfrau Region (TJR) route links a number of existing paths in the area to form a stunning circular mountain journey above the alpine pastures of the Grindelwald valley.
