Hillways is run by Keith Gault OBE, a former Royal Air Force navigator who has walked, climbed and led trekking parties both at home and abroad for 35 years.

Keith brings with himself a passionate interest in all matters outdoor and with his previous training, is a deft hand with the map and compass as well as being well placed to keep an informed eye on the weather.

With two rounds of the Munros completed as well as all the peaks over 2000 feet in the Snowdonia National Park and many in the Lake District, he has an intimate knowledge of the UK mountains.

He has also led successful expeditions to Spain, Patagonia and the Himalayas and has returned to the Swiss and French Alps summer after summer.

Keith is a qualified summer, winter and international mountain leader and is a member of the following mountaineering organisations:

• British Association of International Mountain Leaders (BAIML)
• British Mountaineering Council (BMC)
• Mountaineering Council of Scotland (MCofS)
• Mountain Leader Training Association (MLTA)

He is also qualified in Rescue Emergency Care First Aid.
